Art For Food 2025 // This collection was part of a charity auction in Glasgow this year.
This collection began as a funny (no) experiment in late 2024: paintings and food are the most basic things we all need.
The idea was to remind people how beautiful collaboration with an artist can be in the era of AI. At the same time, I wanted to show the reality of being an artist: you live to create, but you still need food - and if you can't, just turn it into art.
Over time, the project revealed a deeper meaning.
The main idea was simple: anyone could receive a mini artwork for free and pay later by buying the same dish for the artist. But this concept almost failed, because many people couldn’t believe that art could truly be given for free* (*especially knowing there was a 99% chance we would never meet in real life)
It’s not just about the relationship between an artwork and its collector - it’s about trust in the modern world.
This didn’t stop the project - I still believe in humanity. Instead, it pushed me to open the collection to those who love the idea of owning mini art but don’t want - or can’t - to meet in person to pay with a meal.
